Instant Roulette stands out because of the way it is structured. Instead of being played on one roulette wheel, it is played on twelve of them.
The wheels spin separately from one another. As one is slowing down to display the result, another one has just started. Evolution even draws your attention to this by making wheels that are about to grant prizes shine brighter. This elaborate setup is not just for show. It is integral to removing the bet timer.
Unlike most other live roulette games, there is no betting timer. There is no host to spin the wheel either. All the wheel spinning is done automatically. That means you can take your time setting up wagers. When you are done, simply press the Play Now button. The game will check what wheel is closest to finishing its spin. That wheel will be selected to provide the result. No betting timers and waits are kept to a minimum.
How to Play Instant Roulette
You start the round by placing your bets. Owing to Instant Roulette’s unique setup, there is no betting timer. You can take your time placing bets on the betting table and racetrack as you see fit. Evolution also gives you an option to favourite your wagers. That way, you can quickly play them again through the favourite bets menu. Once you finish placing wagers, press the Play Now button to start the round.
After you have finished placing bets, the wheel closest to completing its spin will be selected. The camera will zoom in on the currently active wheel. The ball will land in one of the thirty-seven positions on the wheel. If your wager correctly predicted where the ball would land, you receive a cash prize. The size of your reward depends on the type of bet you have played.
Upon completing the round, players can press the Rebet button to play the same wager again. Alternatively, they can play a new bet by placing coins on new numbers on the board instead.
Instant Roulette Bets & Payouts
The wagers you have played in this game determine the sort of rewards you will get. There are quite a few bets you can play, which are neatly split into two categories. There are lower-risk outside bets, and the more volatile inside bets.
Outside bets are called that way because they are on the outside of the betting board. They cover a large portion of the betting board, making them the most likely wager to score a win. Some outside bets are called even money bets due to the fact they pay even money. These wagers are often used in roulette strategies because they offer the best RTP.
- 1-18/19-36 – covers 18 numbers, pays 1:1
- Odd/Even – covers 18 numbers, pays 1:1
- Red/Black – covers 18 numbers, pays 1:1
- Dozen – covers 12 numbers, pays 2:1
- Column – covers 12 numbers, pays 2:1
Inside bets are the exact opposite. They are far less likely to win compared to outside bets. However, this allows software providers to give them better payouts. The riskier a wager is, the more it will pay. That is why the single number bet, the riskiest wager in any roulette game, is also the highest paying one. Inside bets, how many numbers they cover and their payouts are listed below.
- Line – covers six numbers, pays 5:1
- Corner – covers four numbers, pays 8:1
- Street – covers three numbers, pays 11:1
- Split – covers two numbers, pays 17:1
- Straight Up – covers one number, pays 35:1
Racetrack & Special Bets
Some side bets can only be played using the racetrack in the bottom right corner. This is standard for Evolution roulette games, and something we fully expected to see here, as well. There are four ‘French’ bets you can play here. They are the Tiers, Orphelins, Voisins and Zero wagers. These side bets target a particular part of the roulette wheel. Mousing over those side bets will highlight what numbers will be played.
Another interesting racetrack side bet are neighbour bets. You place a bet on a number and several of its neighbours. Wagers are placed on neighbouring numbers on both the left and right side of the initial number. Use the plus and minus buttons to set how many neighbour numbers will be bet on. You can go with as little as one, or as many as nine in one go.
The last set of special bets are available through the special bets menu. It is marked with a star, just below the racetrack. Additionally, this is where any wagers you set as favourites will show up. Special bets you can play here are as follows.
- Finale en Plein – bets on all numbers that ends on a specific number. For example, a zero Finale en Plain bet will wager on zero, ten, twenty and thirty.
- Finales a Cheval – bet on all numbers that end on two specific numbers. A 3/6 Finales a Cheval bet will place a four-chip bet on eight numbers. Those numbers are 3, 13, 23, 33, 6, 16, 26 and 36.
- Complete Bet – All possible inside bets on a specific number are placed. That means one straight-up bet, two split bets, three streets bets, four corner bets and six line bets.
