Just over 15 months since the release of their Crazy Time game, Evolution Gaming are back with their latest offering, Cash or Crash Live. With the opportunity to win huge rewards and a generous RTP of 99.59%, this game is sure to draw in all types of players with its’ flashy video and lucrative offers.

The game features a 20-step ladder which you climb if the balls drawn go in your favour, similar to that of a Red/Black bet on a Roulette table. As the balls are drawn, one at a time, players are left hoping that the colour goes their way and they can continue to climb the ladder up to a whopping 18,000x multiplier (or 50,000x with the Golden Ball).

What the Balls Mean?

There are three types of balls that can be drawn in the Cash or Crash Live Casino game, all of which we’ve listed below and what they mean for you as the player.

  • Green Ball: The Green ball is one of the two standard variants, and the one you should be hoping for each time. There are 19 available and if this ball is drawn, you get to proceed further up the ladder and are not eliminated from the game, although you have the opportunity to cash out at any time if your nerves prove too much to handle.
  • Red Ball: The Red ball will eliminate you from the game and end your progress. There are 8 Red balls in the game and should you have elected to continue climbing the ladder, drawing one of these will stop you in your tracks and reset your progress back to 0.
  • Gold Ball: The Gold ball is rare – in fact there is only 1 in each game – but it offers a shiny protection to your game. If you are lucky enough to see this drawn, you are shielded from the next Red ball that is drawn and have the opportunity to win a higher end multiplier (up to 50,000x)

How to Play Cash or Crash Live?

While the rules of the game itself are simple, there are a few things to note that can help you get to grips with it faster. Every time a new ball is drawn, you will either move up the ladder or find your progress reset to nothing (with the exception of the Gold ball protection). After each successful win, you have three options to choose from – much like Blackjack, and all of which are listed below:

  • Continue – Choosing this will see you carry on your game with your full bet in place. While the risk is highest here, so is the potential reward.
  • Take Half – If your nerves are getting the better of you but you still want to carry on, you can elect to protect half your balance by cashing out 50%. This will reduce potential wins but also protect against a complete loss.
  • Take All – For those who are happy to take what they have already won, this is effectively a Cash Out and will end your current game, but allow you to withdraw all your winnings.

Strategy

Just like Roulette – the game is similar to you betting on whether the ball will land on Red/Black, but in this instance, the Green is your ticket to a better win potential and protection. Although many people will claim there is a strategy to this, for example increasing your bet every time you lose, due to its’ randomness and the game being purely down to chance, there are no effective strategies known for Cash or Crash Live as of yet.

Conclusion

While this game has all the excitement of Evolution Gaming’s other blockbusters, Crazy Time and Monopoly Live, it lacks a certain fun in the fact that there is no real strategy or bonus round. Instead, players place a primary bet and sit on the cash out button for the rest of the round or until the anxiety gets too much. Cash or Crash Live Casino Game will likely prove popular at the start due to its’ the infamy of who created it, but unfortunately sits a level below the providers other games. In our opinion, crazy time which can be found at many crazy time casinos is still the most fun you can have playing this style of live casino game.
